Full City + roast (dark). Medium to full body. Chocolate and spice. From the little known region of Fraijanes, this Guatemalan is perfect for an evening coffee. It’s dark roasted and displays full flavor with notes of molasses, spice, mandarin orange and dark chocolate. Tastes great brewed in a press pot. Jesuit missionaries introduced coffee to Guatemala in 1750. Today, most of the country’s coffee is produced on small family owned fincas. Las Crucitas is a family business that originated in 1935. Most of the coffee grown here is shade grown which allows the coffee beans to mature slowly, improving the attributes of body and acidity in the cup. We roast it a bit darker which accentuates the coffee’s body and natural sweetness. This is a delicious cup and wonderful to drink after dinner using a French press.
